Dry January is well and truly over
Well that wet, grey, miserable January is well and truly behind us. February is half way through: the crocuses are out, Seville Orange season has been and gone. Here at Mallory Made we have been making plans for 2026; what did we do well last year? What was not our finest hour? What shall we do more of and what shall we ditch?
Our best sellers continue to be seasonal: it’s always Christmas Pudding Vodka, Sloe Gin and Blackcurrant Liqueur in November and December. This year we introduced our Christmas Tipple Bag and we literally couldn’t make them fast enough. New batches of Elderflower fly off our stall in May. And come the summer; it’s always Raspberry.
What did we learn about events? We tried a number of new venues last year; some exceeded our expectations and some didn’t come anywhere near close. But it was all good learning and our calendar for 2026 reflects that. Our biggest and brightest event is always the Mercatum at Haddon Hall and this year, it’s going to run for 6 weeks. We best start making now! In fact we have. All our Cranberry Vodka and most of our Sloe Gin is already made and maturing nicely in a dark cupboard.
January was all about making Seville Orange Gin whilst their very short season is in. It’s available on our website now. so grab yours before it’s gone. We won’t have any more until next winter!
